My football story
Hello, I am Salvatore Giglio and here is a quick story about my football story.
I started when I was in 4th grade. Undersized, not athletic, but fell in love with the sport. Played all the way through high school and college. Still undersized all the way through but I was the hardest worker on the field always and making myself one percent better each day.
Both my senior year of high school and college had season ending injuries early the season. Since I was undersized and had to work for any playing time those injuries devastated me. I fell out of love for the game after college. Did not even really want to watch it. My dream was to be a coach my whole life and now it was tough to think about the sport.
The very next year after I graduated, I got a lucky opportunity with a high school back at home and since then I have thrived in coaching and back into the sport that I have always loved. I have learned so many life lessons through this sport and I am happy how much it has repaid me with the hard work I put into football. Sometimes you get dealt a bad hand but it is up to you to make the most of it.

Why I wanted to start this blog
To tell untold or not talked about stories in the NFL. Players and coaches take so many different paths along their career to get where they are now and it is interesting to look at.
Also, one of favorite pass times is to breakdown with my friends why a coach messed or why a coach had a great call. Not everyone is perfect but it is a great tool to see what the pros do and how their great calls and their mistakes you can learn from both.
